Our latest fundraising campaign is in support of the RocRestorative program at the Rochester City School District (RCSD). The program trains students in restorative practices so that they can lead on creating positive school cultures where ALL students can thrive.
What are restorative practices?
In January RocRestorative will train its 2023 cohort of students as Student Voice Leaders. 15 students can participate from each RCSD school. These student leaders will facilitate teambuilding circles in their school and help lead on positive and inclusive school environments.
How can we support?
We are fundraising so that students who complete the training can be given a t-shirt to wear while facilitating circles and a drawstring bag for to keep facilitation materials organized and transport them between classrooms.
The 2023 t-shirts have been collaboratively designed by students at RISE Community School 106, World of Inquiry, and School without Walls in grades 4-12 and the RocRestorative team members. Here is a sneak peak of the design.
Items like these make a practical difference for these students and show that we value their achievements and want them to succeed. Please support our campaign and invest in these Student Voice Leaders.
