We need your help to achieve our mission of raising urgent funds to secure the future of current Rochester City School District (RCSD) students; and advocating for long term funding solutions to make sure future generations of RCSD students do not have to fight to get an education.
We are looking for volunteers from all backgrounds, all experience levels, and from all locations in Monroe County. If you want a better educational future for students living in Rochester then we want you!
Can you be that parent championing Action for Education Equity to your friends and family?
Can you be the suburban resident having those hard conversations with your community about the inequities between local and city schools?
Can you be that person in the background bringing your energy and talents to keep the project running?
Check out our Mission and Core Beliefs and then complete our online form to let us know all about you. We would love to have your help!
Volunteer opportunities include:
Following, sharing, and liking social media posts on Facebook and Instagram to help spread the word about Action for Education Equity.
Creating social media posts and marketing material.
Writing articles to help get our message out.
Helping to plan and promote fundraising campaigns.
Building relationships with advocacy and non profit organizations.
Joining our operating committee to manage the overall operations of the fund in a way that ensures it can deliver its mission.
You can be an agent of change. Rochester has a powerful history, and our education system has the potential for greatness.
