Rochester Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation focused on raising resources to help city school students succeed. REF serves as the fiscal agent for Action for Education Equity and provides administrative support.
Our partnership with REF allows donations to Action for Education Equity to be tax deductible to the full extent provided by law.
The views of the Action team are their own.
REF charges an administrative fee to Action for Education Equity for their role as fiscal sponsor. Fees are capped at a maximum of $20,000 annually.
The fees are outlined below:
• $0 to $75,000: 10%
• $75,001 to $150,000: 5%
• $150,001 and up: 2% until $20,000 fee cap is reached then 0%
All fees to REF are used to support their mission:
To provide programs and resources to improve learning and success for all Rochester city public school students through partnerships with educators, businesses, and the community.
The Children’s Agenda are our advocacy partners. They advocate for effective policies and drive evidenced-based solutions for the health, education and success of children. They are especially committed to children who are vulnerable because of poverty, racism, health disparities and trauma.
The Children’s Agenda supports Action for Education Equity by providing data and knowledge to drive our advocacy around the inequities in school funding.
The Children’s Agenda help us source quality data to understand the policies and budgets of the State, Rochester City and the Rochester City School District.
The views of the Action team are their own.
The Children’s Agenda receives no money from Action for Education Equity for these services.
